There is a fleet of Huskys finding their home at SkyRanch at Carefree
On any given day at SkyRanch at Carefree, you are likely to see an Aviat Husky taking off or landing. There is quite a fleet of these aircraft around the airport and more so in the winter months as they migrate to the SkyRanch for the winter.
There is good reason, in addition to being a very capable airplane, the Husky is fun to fly. One can get low and slow for some sightseeing. Get in and out of places that most other aircraft are not able to get into. Carry enough gear for a weekend of camping.
It is a great airplane, here is a short video taken on a recent trip up the Verde River into the Tonto National Forest with a landing at the Red Creek Strip.
